Near one of my regular clients is a siding which occasionally hosts a few box cars. I don’t know what industry is in the area, but I’m assuming it’s big enough to still need rail service. It’s an interesting little area right at the edge of where residence meets business, and the rail siding is only feet from a major road.
I was in the area today visiting that client, and on the way in, I spotted an old caboose at the end of the line of a few box cars. Hoping to get a picture or two, I stopped nearby after my client visit. The rear door to the caboose was open, and I was sorely tempted to climb on board… but getting arrested for trespassing didn’t seem like fun and I wasn’t willing to try my luck.
